Add the desired amount of sand (if you don’t have sand use salt) to a large zip-seal bag, using one bag for each color sand that you wish to make.
Add several drops of food coloring to each bag and seal them.
Then, have kids squish the bags to mix the color into the sand or salt crystals. ) you can also add some glitter if you like :) )
If if feels wet add more sand or let it dry if you like to have darker colors.
